Sugaring / Waxing Pre & Post Care
Before Your Appointment
- Hair should be at least ¼ inch long.
- Exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment.
- Avoid lotions, oils, and creams on the day of your wax.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure before your appointment.
- Inform your esthetician if you are using retinol, Accutane, or prescription acne medications.
After Your Appointment
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid:
- Hot baths, saunas, and hot tubs
- Excessive sweating and intense exercise
- Swimming pools and direct sun exposure
- Tight clothing that may cause friction
To maintain smooth results:
- Begin gentle exfoliation after 48 hours.
- Moisturize regularly.
- Avoid shaving between appointments.
- Book your waxes every 4–6 weeks for best results.
Mild redness and sensitivity are normal and typically subside within 24–48 hours.
